Things are going swimmingly for Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers off the gridiron ahead of his team's first season in the Southeastern Conference. He was recently named to the prestigious Walter Camp Award watchlist to highlight his burgeoning reputation.
Outside the gridiron, the influential Longhorns quarterback's relationship with his girlfriend, Madelyn Barnes, seems to be thriving as well.
On Thursday on his Instagram stories, Ewers celebrated his "year and a half anniversary" with Barnes with a heartwarming post of the couple in bathing suits with the caption:
"Year and a half!!! I love you so big!!!"
Madelyn Barnes and Ewers have kept their relationship relatively private, with Barnes wishing the quarterback a happy birthday on Instagram a few months ago in a rare moment of public display of affection.
She posted a picture of the couple together on her Instagram stories and captioned it:
“HAPPY 21st!!! I hope this year is the best yet! Can't wait to celebrate with you, I love you so much.”
The couple also visited the Turks and Caicos Islands to vacation together a few months ago, showcasing snaps of the islands in Instagram posts.

Quinn Ewers is widely considered one of the best returning quarterbacks in college football, and the Texas Longhorns' move to the SEC has increased the spotlight on him and the program.
To showcase his new status in college football, Ewers signed a lucrative NIL deal with apparel company Rhoback reportedly worth between $100,000 and $150,000 earlier this week.
In the deal, the Texas quarterback will get commissions from sales funneled to the company due to his direct influence.
After the announcement of the deal, Ewers released a statement expressing his enthusiasm for partnering with the famous apparel company:
"I am incredibly excited to be working with Rhoback as my official apparel sponsor and to become a leading face of their Rhoback U program. It's exciting to see their presence really take off within the college athletics community.
"Their products are the most comfortable I have worn, and it's been such a fun experience being able to create some awesome content with their team."
Rhoback has had a huge hand in the NIL space in college sports and already partners with big names like Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe and Clemson Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik.
"We are excited to join Quinn Ewers' team as his official apparel sponsor," Rhoback said in a statement.
