"Shedeur is getting drafted by Raiders & Deion will be their head coach": Fans draw wild assumptions after Colorado QB's latest move
Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one player due to grab a lot of attention for the 2025 NFL draft. The senior quarterback is having an impressive season and is considered a top-drawer pick on draft day. One of the destinations draft experts and fans are thinking of is the Las Vegas Raiders. And his latest travel destination somehow added more context to it.
On Monday, Sanders and freshman offensive lineman Yahya Attia went to Las Vegas. Attia uploaded the picture on his Instagram where Shedeur was caught snoozing on the jet.
This led fans to draw a wild conclusion from it, with some saying he'll be drafted by the Raiders, who, as of Oct. 28, hold the seventh pick in next year's draft.
"He must be going to Vegas to pick up the playbook to get a heads up for next season," one fan commented.
"Shedeur is getting drafted by the Raiders & Deion will be their head coach…they will trade the farm to acquire Hunter…" another wrote.
"Glaze that d*ck loser 5 more games and back under the rock you idiots go," one fan added.
Some fans took a dig at the plane's interior, which looked old according to some fans.
"That broke a*s plane is 40 years old," one fan commented.
One wondered why they were going there:
"What’s he gonna do there? Watch?"
Sanders, along with his father, Deion Sanders, and his favorite receiver, Travis Hunter, has led Colorado to a 6-2 record after Week 9. The record means the Buffaloes have secured bowl-eligibility for the first time since 2016, which was the last instance they won six or more games in a season.
NFL draft expert sees Shedeur Sanders likely getting drafted by Raiders
Shedeur Sanders to the Las Vegas Raiders is a good match. One, they would likely try to draft a quarterback in next year's draft, and with a poor season ongoing, coach Antonio Pierce getting the axe is also a possibility.
NFL draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. thinks the Raiders may go Sanders' way.
"In terms of the team that screams Shedeur Sanders is Las Vegas," Mel Kiper said on ESPN's 'First Draft.' "He patterns himself after Tom Brady, he operates with the influence to draft him to Las Vegas in terms of the quarterback evaluation.
"If we're talking about the draft right now and not on the 8th, then, right? If you need a quarterback, Shedeur Sanders would make sense there."
Though the Las Vegas Raiders hold the seventh pick, they would likely have to trade up since Shedeur Sanders is expected to be a top-five pick. That shouldn't be much of a problem given only the Carolina Panthers and the Tennessee Titans are looking to draft a signal-caller off the board.
