Shedeur Sanders expresses aim to buy a Bugatti, among other luxury purchases, with future NFL money

Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders is projected to be a top-ten pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The son of NFL icon Deion Sanders is entering his fourth and final collegiate season intending to improve his stock and make a splash in next year's draft.

On the first episode of the 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders Podcast on YouTube, he hosted Miami's Cam Ward, Virginia Tech's Kyrone Drones, and quarterback coach Darrell Colbert Jr. The Colorado superstar spoke about his plans to buy a statement Bugatti car, among other luxury items, with his first NFL paycheck.

Speaking at the 31:30 mark, Sanders said,

"I want to have a Bugatti one day. Crazy crib, and nice cars".

He added,

"A lot of watches, for sure. A lot of bags".

Bugattis are notoriously expensive supercars. Its upcoming hybrid hypercar -- the Tourbillion, which is scheduled for release in 2026 -- is set to cost $4 million, per Wired.

How much could Shedeur Sanders earn in the NFL?

ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller projects Shedeur Sanders to be the second overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft. Sanders has the poise, talent, and toughness to be a day-one starter in the NFL.

John Leuzzi of the USA Today Network looked at this year's rookie salary situation, and Spotrac's projection has the No. 2 pick earning $36.85 million in his first five years in the league. However, rookie salaries are known to rise each season thanks to the NFL's collective bargaining agreement and increase in league revenue.

Hence, with such money, Sanders will likely be able to buy his Bugatti and most of the items on his wish list.

However, Shedeur Sanders must first navigate the 2024 college football season with the Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffaloes posted a disappointing 4-8 record in 2023 and weren't eligible for a Bowl Game.

The program has big dreams in 2024, and Shedeur's performances will be key in actualizing such goals. It all starts with a game against the North Dakota State Bisons and ends with a crunch matchup versus the Oklahoma State Cowboys on November 29, 2024.

Sanders has the potential to improve his draft stock and compete with Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck as this year's top QB. While Beck plays for a significantly better team, Sanders can showcase his ability to thrive in less-than-ideal situations at Colorado and prove his ability to lead a struggling franchise at the professional level.
