“Shouldve fired him” - Coach Prime’s son Deion Sanders Jr. lashes out at SI for critical post amid transfer portal controversy

Deion Sanders' son Deion Sanders Jr. was miffed at Sports Illustrated for a post on the Colorado Buffaloes' head coach. The media outlet ran with a post on Instagram that was critical of Coach Prime amid the transfer portal controversy. Bucky decided to give them a piece of his mind through a couple of posts of his own.

According to the SI post, Coach Prime has been avoiding home visits to recruit players for the upcoming season. It also claimed that it was Sanders' kids who were bringing in recruits via social media direct messages. Bucky took exception to the claims and called it hate.

Here is what the Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders' son Deion Sanders Jr. had to say about an SI social media post about his dad's recruitment tactics.

“Hating while y’all still have our picture pinned at the top of y’all page @sportsillustrated,” he wrote in an IG story while sharing a screenshot of the said post.

Bucky didn't stop there. He also shared the picture of SI’s page admin and asked the media outlet to ‘fire’ him.

“This the person that run y’all page right? @sportsillustrated Y’all should’ve fired him too,” he wrote in another story.

The story of Sanders not doing home visits first appeared in USA Today last month. Coach Prime did not dispute the story, but gave an explanation about why he does things the way he does.

Sanders said he was trying to save the university money at every step of the way. He added that he loves the parents and wants to show them how beautiful Boulder is. So instead of visiting the home of the potential recruits, he does all the talk during the campus visits.

For Deion Sanders, eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. is the ‘standard’

Deion Sanders leaves no chance to praise his oldest son Deion Sanders Jr. in front of the fans. In fact, every ‘Well Off Media' video starts with a snippet of him doing it at a press conference during his early days in Colorado. Back in February, Coach Prime dedicated an Instagram post to praise his entrepreneur son’s work.

"He is the standard! He Loves what he does and does what he loves. He's Creative, Innovative, Honest, Selfless, Passionate, Intelligent & Aware #Welloffmedia,” a part of the caption read.

The Buffaloes are getting ready for the upcoming season and they will hold their spring scrimmage later this month. It would be interesting to see if the team can perform better than they did last season, this time in a much tougher conference.
