"So darn intoxicating": Deion Sanders makes passionate confession about Colorado during latest practice
Deion Sanders has the Colorado Buffaloes within striking distance of their first College Football Playoff appearance in program history. With three winnable games remaining on their schedule, they are 7-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play in their first season of Big 12 action since 2010.
While the Buffaloes are on the outside looking in – ranked No. 17 in the latest rendition of the College Football Playoff rankings – they control their path to the postseason. "Coach Prime" certainly believes they can achieve their goals, as he shared a passionate message to his team during a practice session on Wednesday.
"What I see is a team that can't be beat. What I see is a team that can only beat themselves," Sanders said. "What I see is coaches who are focused, who are locked in, who have come up with a great game plan. What I see is destiny. What I see is hard work and dedication. What I see is sacrifice. What I see is winning. Let's keep it up. This is so darn good, it's intoxicating. Let's keep it up, alright?"

The Buffaloes have the 14th-best odds (+125) in the nation to reach the College Football Playoff, ranking second in the Big 12 behind the BYU Cougars (+110). They face the Utah Utes, Kansas Jayhawks and Oklahoma State Cowboys over their final three games – with the first and last games coming at Folsom Field.
Colorado's opponents are a combined 10-18 and an abysmal 3-16 in Big 12 play. If they can win all three, they will play in the Big 12 Championship Game with a postseason berth on the line.
Deion Sanders' defense credited for turnaround
Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have garnered all of the attention when it comes to the Colorado Buffaloes. Speaking on "College Football Live", ESPN's Tom Luginbill gave their defensive unit credit.
"Look at this defense. If you looked at this defense a year ago, their point differential margin was minus 6.7 per game," Luginbill said. "Look at it this year. Almost 10 points a game in the positive column, meaning that, defensively, Colorado is really making strides."

Luginbill also noted that the Buffaloes' defense will play a big role in their Week 12 matchup with the Utah Utes. He added that Colorado has continued to improve and exceed expectations and that their success isn't solely reliant on its two stars.
