"So fu**king terrible": Former NFL star lashes out at referees for controversial calls in Ohio State's game against Nebraska

Former NFL player Will Compton was not impressed at some of the refereeing decisions in the Ohio State vs. Nebraska game in Week 9 on Saturday. Compton, who played four seasons with the Cornhuskers from 2009 to 2012, blasted the referees in a tweet during the game:

"These referees are so fu**ing terrible."

The Buckeyes had some favorable calls on Saturday. During one play in the second quarter, officials ruled Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson short on a second-down run. However, replays appeared to suggest that the Cornhuskers star ran past the line to gain by more than a yard. The officials did not review the play, and at the time, Ohio State was leading 14-3.

In another instance, there was controversy about a pass interference call by the officials that went against Nebraska on a third down. The drive eventually resulted in an Ohio State touchdown.

Compton wasn't the only one who felt that the referees had too much influence over the outcome of the game. Several fans also took to social media to express their discontent with the officiating in the game.
