"Speaking from a selfish perspective": Bill Goldberg drops a cheeky comment as Coach Prime's Colorado prepares for BYU clash

WWE legend Bill Goldberg is eager to see Coach Prime's Colorado in action against BYU in the Alamo Bowl later in December. On Sunday, Goldberg dropped a few cheeky comments for Deion Sanders' CU when the Buffs announced their opponents for their bowl game on Instagram.

"Dream come true gotta say what are the chances," Golberg initially wrote in response to CU's IG post.

The Hall of Fame pro wrestler then added another comment.

"Speaking from a selfish perspective," Goldberg wrote.

Goldberg has been closely following Colorado games this season since his son Gage Goldberg is in his freshman year as a linebacker with the program. However, Gage has not played for Colorado under Coach Prime this season.

Notably, Goldberg, who has had an iconic career in the WWE, played college football as a defensive tackle with the Georgia Bulldogs. He also had a brief spell in the NFL, CFL, and the now-ceased WLAF.

Coach Prime has done a fine job with the Colorado Buffaloes this season. The Buffs finished the regular season with a 9-3 record (7-2 Big 12).

Deion Sanders was hired by Colorado in December 2022. He led the program to a 4-8 record in his first season at the helm.

While many had written off Colorado to achieve success at the start of this season, Coach Prime has proven a point to many pundits and analysts. Sanders' CU also had a chance of making it to the 12-team College Football Playoff. However, a shock 37-21 loss against Kansas on Nov. 23 ended the team's hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.

Nonetheless, Sanders has ensured that Colorado will play a bowl game this year, the team's first since 2020. The Buffs have not won a bowl game since 2004 (Houston Bowl). Colorado will face Big 12 rival BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28.
