Syracuse QB Kyle McCord’s GF Sophia has cheeky response to Ohio State transfer’s achievements after Week 2

Syracuse Orange quarterback Kyle McCord has quickly silenced his doubters after a sensational Week 2 performance, and no one is prouder than his girlfriend Sophia Giangiordano. After McCord's transfer from Ohio State, some critics questioned his ability to replicate his success at Syracuse.

Giangiordano responded by posting shush emojis on Instagram and reshared a post from Syracuse’s official Instagram handle.

McCord was on fire as Syracuse posted a 31-28 victory over No. 23 Georgia Tech. The senior QB threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns and proved that his elite skillset is worth the hype.

He played with a lot of emotions as he did some trash-talking and spiked the football after a critical first down. With his impressive performance, McCord made it known that he is ready to lead Syracuse to more success.

McCord is a five-star athlete and had a successful time under Ryan Day with the Buckeyes, where he went 11-1 as a starter. For now, McCord’s transfer to Syracuse seems like a perfect fit.

Ryan Day "happy" for Kyle McCord after electrifying start to CFB season

McCord is the talk of the town after his red-hot start to the 2024 college football season at Syracuse. He even drew praise from his former Ohio State coach. He has delivered back-to-back wins and some of the best stats in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).

In two games, McCord boasts a 69.4% completion rate for 735 yards and eight touchdowns. Day, who took McCord under his wing in Columbus said:

"I’m happy to see Kyle do well. He won some great games here and poured a lot of effort into the program,” Day said via Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday.
“I’ve only seen a few highlights, and it looks like he’s doing a great job. It looks like in the first couple of games he’s gotten in a good rhythm, got a great win this past weekend,” he continued.

McCord's stats rival LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, the only other FBS QB to match his touchdown total. Day believes that the Ohio State football program continues to develop top-tier talent, regardless of where players ultimately land.
