"Take away all the boot lickers around him from RG3": Paul Finebaum ropes Robert Griffin III while blasting Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes suffered a blowout loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in their Week 2 matchup on Saturday night.

The Buffaloes struggled on both sides of the ball, scoring just 10 points and mustering 260 yards of total offense. The Buffaloes also struggled to establish a true rushing attack, notching 22 yards on 16 attempts.

Defensively, Colorado allowed 334 yards to Nebraska, surrendering 28 points in the first half. While the Buffaloes' defense shut out the Cornhuskers in the second half, their offensive line woes proved too much to overcome. The Cornhuskers' defense sacked Shedeur Sanders six times.

During Sunday's episode of The Matt Barrie Show, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum attacked Colorado following their embarrassing loss and also took shots at a former ESPN analyst.

"[Deion Sanders] is all Hollywood, he's all show. If you take away all the bootlickers around him from [Robert Griffin III] on down, what does he have? Two, or three, or maybe four sensational players and a revolving door that showed up last night on the line of scrimmage."

Finebaum's dig at Robert Griffin III comes after the former Heisman Trophy winner took a shot at Finebaum following Colorado's Week 1 win over North Dakota State.

It appears Finebaum got the final laugh following Colorado's massive loss. He correctly noted that the Buffaloes' offensive line depth would cost them in big games, which it certainly did on Saturday night.

Nebraska moves into AP Top 25 following win over Colorado, Deion Sanders

According to Sunday's rankings, Nebraska's second-straight win places the Cornhuskers in the AP Top 25.

The No. 23 Cornhuskers are back in the Top 25 for the first time since Week 2 of 2019. Nebraska has another tune-up game in Week 3 versus Northern Iowa on September 14.

Entering this season with notable expectations, Nebraska has answered the call early into the season.

The Cornhuskers look to continue building momentum as they enter conference play with a Week 4 matchup against Illinois. Nebraska will have numerous tests in conference play, including a Week 8 matchup versus Ohio State in Columbus.
