Texas coach Jeff Banks gets married to Danielle Thomas aka 'The Pole Assassin' whose monkey allegedly bit a child
Texas Longhorns assistant and special team coordinator Jeff Banks and his longtime girlfriend, Danielle Thomas, tied the knot over the weekend. Banks shared a picture with his new bride and thanked his friends and family members for attending the wedding, while the two will fly off to Barcelona for a romantic honeymoon.
The caption of the post was:
"Incredible 72 hours with our family and closest friends! We truly love you all now off to Barcelona for our honeymoon! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼"
Along with Banks, Thomas also shared pictures from their big day. In the snaps, Texas HC Steve Sarkisian was holding up the "Hook 'Em" sign. Along with Coach Sarkisian, Chris Gilbert also shared a series of snaps from the wedding event.
The carousel also showed Jeff Banks and Danielle dancing on the floor with each other, dressed in glittering outfits.
Danielle was an aerial pole artist who was featured on "The Jerry Springer Show." She is also known as "Pole Assassin," her stage name. She owns a Panamanian white-face Capuchin named Gia, which to her was an "emotional support animal."
Were Jeff Banks and his then-girlfriend embroiled in a controversy?
In 2021, Danielle built a horror house for children to enjoy but it turned into an accident when her monkey allegedly bit the hand of a child who "attempted to high-five" it during Halloween 2021, per BroBible.
The parents of the child sued Jeff Banks' wife for “gross negligence and defamation for exemplary damages.”
The suit was called “‘Amy Clinkenbeard; Casey Clinkenbeard, individually and as the next friend of a minor v. Danielle Thomas, aka “The Pole Assassin,” and was submitted in December 2021.
After the incident, Thomas posted a video of herself traveling through the house, claiming that she took every measure to keep it away from the children.
“How can she viciously bite someone if they don’t stick their hand in there where it don’t belong? This is her home, and her home only. It’s already clear as day on the gate “Don’t touch,” nobody’s allowed back here without my permission,” she said at the time. [via SB Nation].
She also shared a video that showed "how far the kid went in her backyard" and that she could not image Gia "viciously biting" someone.
There are no reports if the lawsuit moved forward or not.
