Texas HC Steve Sarkisian and Longhorns squad are "obsessed" with making their SEC debut

Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian was ready to answer all questions related to the team's induction to the SEC on Wednesday during his schedule in the 2024 SEC media days.

While the team plans to make a huge impact in the conference and awaits the rekindling of the Red Rivalry, he said that it is the team's passion and obsession that will drive them.

Sarkisian also believes that the team is built to take the heat of the SEC as it checks the boxes of all that a high-performing team needs to be. According to him, the Longhorns are the "deepest" and the "most talented" they have ever been.

Steve Sarkisian said the Longhorns will need both the QBs of the team

Sarkisian trusts his team entirely and will not be changing anything about the QB room, with Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning returning for another year.

"We're probably going to need both those guys at some point this season," Sarkisian said via ESPN. "These guys are great, great friends. Nobody gets along better. There's a real level of appreciation for what each guy is doing. Because they know the journey, they know the path, they know how we coach him."

He added:

"From Archer's perspective, he's watching Quinn have to go through some of the adversity, having a fight through injury, having to deal with the criticism of being the quarterback of Texas. So to see him have success, I think Arch is fired up for Quinn."

Both QBs have turned heads with their performances on the field. With one leading the team to the College Football Playoff and the other supporting him as his backup, the team will expect to make their debut in the SEC with a bang.
