Texas HC Steve Sarkisian's wife Loreal Sarkisian helps fans get inspiration for matchups ahead of CFB season: "I'm gonna give you gameday looks"

Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal Sarkisian announced their pending divorce at the end of July. The couple have been together for four years, marrying back in 2020 when Steve Sarkisian was the offensive coordinator with Alabama.

After taking the coaching job at Texas a year later, Loreal has since become renowned in college football circles for her stylish gameday outfits and high fashion.

As the 2024 college football kicks off with the Texas Longhorns ranked No. 2 in the AP Preseason Poll, big things are expected of Sarkisian's team in the SEC and the college football playoff picture as a whole.

Loreal Sarkisian has shown through social media that the divorce will not completely remove her from the college football picture. In a YouTube video shared on her channel on Friday, she revealed that she would continue to provide fans with gameday looks:

"Hi guys, so really quickly, I've been getting a lot of messages about gameday looks and if I would still do them and how you were all gonna miss me on the sidelines and I gotta say, I'm gonna give you gameday fashion! I'm so excited to give a new rendition of game day this year, we'll still have some fun, I'll still give you some inspiring looks for gameday."

How fashion helped Loreal Sarkisian become a Texas fan favorite

Loreal Sarkisian quickly became a cult figure for Longhorns fans after throwing herself headlong into supporting the team. During an interview on "The Pivot" podcast, Steve Sarkisian revealed that his wife even dresses him for gameday (via On3.com):

"Even on gameday, she [Loreal Sarkisian] dresses me on gameday, I'll give her that," Sarkisian said.
"Not everybody loves what I wear, I like it, she likes it. So we're good. We still go through things. You know, it's a daily process for all of us. She's been there every step of the way, the good, the bad, the ugly, whatever it's looked like. And she's right there every single time."

Loreal often customized her gameday apparel to include burnt orange and cowboy hats in stylish ways that grew her stature among fans.

The Grio even noted that she attracted as much attention as the Longhorns' "Minister of Culture", popular actor Matthew McConaughey, who is revered by the Longhorns fans.

During an interview with Texas Monthly, Loreal Sarkisian spoke about how fashion became an important aspect of her life:

“[My mother] was a strong believer that you wore what looked good on you, what enhanced you, not necessarily what was trendy or popular. I live by that to this day,” Loreal said. “I’m kinda trying to make it my own. I am someone who likes elevated essentials for sure. Chic. Classic, yet structured.”

Despite her upcoming divorce from Steve Sarkisian, Loreal Sarkisian still seems psyched about the new college football season. Texas Longhorns fans who have taken a liking to her will be glad to see her continue cheering on the team.

Steve Sarkisian's team starts the new season with a Week 1 clash against the Colorado State Rams at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
