Texas Insider has a crystal clear response to growing Quinn Ewers & Arch Manning's transfer rumors ahead of Clemson game

Texas fans have been debating what the Longhorns have to do to allow for the continued coexistence of both Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning in their locker room. On3 Texas insider CJ Vogel is one of those people who would prefer not to have those conversations.

On a recent episode of On3's show On Texas Football, Vogel was asked by a fellow insider what he thought about the possibility of either player leaving on the transfer portal. Vogel's answer was simple, with him only repeatedly throwing away his cap.

At the moment one thing is certain, these problems are far away in the minds of either Ewers and Manning or their coach Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns are currently deep in preparations for their upcoming College Football Playoff participation.

Quinn Ewers on what comes next in his career

A recent report by Texas insider Anwar Richardson poured more fuel into the fire of the rumors regarding his future in Texas. According to Richardson, Ewers could decide to skip his last year of eligibility and could declare for the NFL Draft. When asked about that possibility on Monday, Ewers preferred to keep all his avenues open:

“I'm not sure yet,” Ewers told reporters on Monday. “I'm just trying to win these games. I haven't thought about anything beyond that.”

When does Texas play next? A look at the Longhorns' upcoming CFP encounter

The No. 5 Texas Longhorns are set to face the ACC reigning champions, the No. 12 Clemson Tigers, in a first-round encounter of the CFP set to be played on December 31 at Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Longhorns come from losing their own SEC championship game against Georgia, 22-19.

Nonetheless, they're the favorites, with Clemson being an 11.5-point underdog according to ESPN Bet. ESPN's game predictor is giving Texas an 80.4% chance of winning the game.

The game will air on TNT and Max, and it will start at 4 pm ET.
