"Texas look like c*ap": CFB world rally against Longhorns as team misses field goal in Week 2 showdown

No. 3 Texas secured a dominant victory today over No. 10 Michigan, with the Longhorns prevailing with a final score of 31-12. However, at the start of the game, Texas showed some offensive inconsistencies early on. Their most glaring error came when a field goal attempt early in the first quarter missed the mark by a wide margin.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinion about the Longhorns' mistake, with some making some comments that didn't age so well:

"Texas looks like c*ap"

Someone pointed out that the field goal wasn't even close:

"That's a huge miss"

Others were disappointed about the officiating:

"Should be 7-0… looks like the cheaters are now just paying off refs instead of hotels and tickets"

Here are some other reactions from fans.

"Eh, should be 14-0 Texas. Texas going right down the field twice on Michigan. Ewers carving up their secondary as I predicted. Michigan offense is average," one fan said.
"I’ll never understand how college and NFL football teams allow kickers that just… miss… kicks. I feel like there has to be pools of kickers in the USA that won’t miss simple kicks. Or snappers that won’t mess the snaps idk man it seems so SILLY. Would love opinions on this," another fan said.
"Lucky for Michigan. They are getting humbled today!" a fan said.

Quinn Ewers leads Texas to victory over Michigan

Quarterback Quinn Ewers was exceptional in Week 2, leading Texas to victory at Ann Arbor on the back of 246 passing yards and three touchdowns. Receiver Gunnar Helm was his most useful weapon, with 98 receiving yards and a touchdown catch in seven receptions.

Coach Steve Sarkisian seemed pleased with his team's performance.

“I thought he (Quinn Ewers) played really efficiently, I didn't think there was a throw that got forced today,” Sarkisian said (per Josh Newman of LoneStarLive)
“This is a tough place to come and win, they had won 23 in a row, so this is a quality opponent.”

Michigan was the team that clearly showed a problem. The Wolverines have a quarterback problem that they need to solve sooner rather than later. Davis Warren threw 204 yards with one touchdown in his second start for the Ann Arbor school. That wasn't the problem per se, but the fact that he gave up three unforced interceptions. In the ground game, Michigan also got dominated, with only 80 rushing yards to Texas' 143.
