Texas' Quinn Ewers left the game against UTSA because of an injury

One of the biggest surprises that came from the game was QB Quinn Ewers' abdominal injury in the second quarter of the game. The injury forced him to fall and lay on his back as he waited for the medical staff. Ewers then walked off the field and did not look happy as he covered his face with his jersey.

Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian talked about Ewers' injury and said the team did not think anything was broken.

"It's an oblique strain, an abdomen strain. It remains to be seen, the seriousness of that, the length of that, but that's what it is," Sarkisian said, per FOX Sports. "We don't think it's anything structural or broken."

Sarkisian put backup Arch Manning in place of Ewers. Manning threw for a 19-yard touchdown on his first play and then ran for a 67-yard touchdown.
