Texas QB Quinn Ewers showers love on GF Madelyn Barnes' wholesome photo dump: "Love ya sugar"
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers made a splash during his return after an oblique injury kept him out of action for three weeks. He featured prominently in the Red River rivalry clash against the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 7, leading the top-ranked Longhorns to a comprehensive 34-3 win on Saturday while going 20 of 29 for 199 yards, resulting in one touchdown and adding one rushing touchdown.
Off the gridiron, Ewers' girlfriend, Madelyn Barnes, posted a photo dump on Instagram of herself and the Texas quarterback, her friends and family during the Red River Rivalry clash.
Barnes captioned her post:

Quinn Ewers and Madelyn Barnes share unique relationship
What makes their relationship unique is the fact that Madelyn Barnes is a student at Oklahoma but was supporting her boyfriend during the heated Red River rivalry game against her school in Week 7.
Despite keeping their relationship relatively private, in August, the couple celebrated their one-and-a-half-year anniversary with posts on Instagram of themselves looking cozy together.
Barnes has also previously wished the Texas quarterback a happy birthday on her Instagram stories captioning her post:
“HAPPY 21st!!! I hope this year is the best yet! Can't wait to celebrate with you, I love you so much.”
During the offseason, the couple also vacationed together in the Turks and Caicos Islands, showing off snaps from the tropical destination on their Instagram stories.
Quinn Ewers continues to 'lean on his faith'
The Heisman Trophy-contending Quinn Ewers has never been afraid to speak about his faith, and after the Red River rivalry game against the Oklahoma Sooners, he once again reiterated how his faith helps him to deal with adversity.
“Adversity is going to strike, and at the end of the day, it’s how you come back and how you respond," Ewers said. "It’s 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react. So, I just lean on Jesus, and he just continues and continues to (pull) me through adverse times.”
Earlier in the season on the "RG3 and The Ones" podcast, Ewers once again revealed how his faith had guided him through college football.
“The lessons that I’ve learned and that he’s taught me, from going to Ohio State, and just everything that happened to me up there, I kind of got away from my relationship with God when I was up there," Ewers said. "I wasn’t leaning on him as much as I should.
“And then me coming back down here, it’s like my faith kind of exploded. It grew a whole bunch just being closer to home."
Next up for the Texas Longhorns (6-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) and Quinn Ewers is a crucial game at the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) on Saturday that is likely the game of the season so far.
