Texas QB Quinn Ewers shows support for Donald Trump with a unique meme after former US President survives assassination attempt

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers showed his support for Donald Trump after the former US President survived an assassination attempt on Saturday. Ewers posted a unique meme on his Instagram story, which showed Trump's face on rapper 50 Cent's body, as part of the latter's Get Rich or Die Tryin' album.

It appeared that Ewers was trying to draw a parallel between Trump and 50 Cent, who survived nine gunshot wounds in May 2000. The bullets reportedly hit the rapper on his legs, hands, arms, chest, face and left cheek.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night when he suffered an injury after a gunshot wound grazed his ear. The Republican presidential nominee was seen bleeding from his ear after being helped by his security. While being rushed off the stage by Secret Service agents, Trump stopped to raise his fist in the air.

It was later reported that Trump was out of danger. The gunman, a 20-year-old man named Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot dead by a Secret Service sniper soon after he fired at Trump.

Quinn Ewers will lead the offense for the Texas Longhorns as they enter the Southeastern Conference this year. The quarterback spoke to On3 about leaving the Big 12 to join a new conference.

“It’s definitely a different level. I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC. I know we’re all excited to be a part of a conference like that,” Ewers said.
“Football definitely means a lot for that conference. We’re going into it full speed. We want to win the SEC Championship, and we want to accomplish what we were so close to accomplishing last year. I know that we have a team that’s more than capable of doing that.”

Ewers threw for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions last season. He also rushed for five touchdowns.
