“The best”: Dabo Swinney’s son Clay thanks GF Reese Reynolds for unwavering support on game day

Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney's son Clay is in his third season with the team. The WR joined the Tigers as a walk-on in 2022 and has since been a part of the team. As Clemson continues its 2024 campaign, Clay Swinney took to social media to give his girlfriend Reese Reynolds a big shoutout.

In an Instagram story posted by Clay, we see him posing with his girlfriend Resse Reynolds. The couple is seen embracing each other as Clay expresses his gratitude to her for always being his pillar of support.

Clay and his girlfriend have been dating for quite some time now. The couple had also gone on a vacation in the off-season to Florida where they spent some quality time with each other.

As a freshman, Clay did not get a lot of playing time on the field. However, last season, he was given the starting holder role by Dabo Swinney coming out of fall camp. The WR played in all 13 games for the Clemson Tigers and played 11 offensive snaps.

This season, Clay returned as a starting holder role on placekicks for the Tigers. They went on to lose their season opener against the Georgia Bulldogs. However, during their Week 2 contest against Appalachian State, the Clemson Tigers recorded a 66-20 victory.

Dabo Swinney expresses gratitude to fans for their support

After Clemson's 66-20 victory against Appalachian State, Swinney made an appearance on the "ACC Huddle Show." During the interview, he expressed his gratitude and show his appreciation for the Clemson fans for coming out to support them despite losing the season opener against Georgia.

Swinney also thanked the fans for showing up for their home opener in week 2 and said their support helped keep them motivated throughout the season.

"Well, the fun's in the winning. So that's number one. But what I liked most is our fans and how they showed up. I mean, awesome," Dabo Swinney said.
"We laid an egg last week and missed an opportunity. And man, they just show up- a sellout, you can't get a ticket."

The Tigers next face NC State at home on Saturday, September 17. Fans can catch all the action of the week 3 showdown from the comfort of their home by tuning into CW Network. The game will also be available to stream on various sites such as SlingTV, FuboTV, and others.
