“The chosen 1”: Coach Prime’s son Deion Sanders Jr. shows support to brother Shilo before Cincinnati clash
Coach Prime’s son, Deion Sanders Jr., is all in for his brother Shilo as the Colorado Buffaloes (5-2) gear up for a clash against the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-2) in Week 9.
Shilo had a challenging game against Kansas State with six tackles and one assist and continued to show his resilience against Arizona with three tackles and an assist.
On Friday, Shilo posted a photo on Instagram with the caption,
“Road 2 glory”
Deion Jr. jumped in to support his brother, commenting “Legendary” and adding,
“The chosen 1”
After Colorado’s strong Week 8 win over Arizona (34-7), Shilo looked confident in his postgame interview with “The Pregame Show.”
"I think we can win with me on the field," Sanders said. "They say defense is better without me on the field, and this is the best performance we’ve had."
Colorado Safety Shilo's response was powerful, helping the Colorado defense secure another impressive victory.
Shilo Sanders made a comeback after injury
Shilo Sanders was sidelined after getting hurt in Colorado’s Sept. 7 loss to Nebraska.
This season he recorded 18 solo tackles and one pass deflection. Last year, he led the Buffaloes in tackles with 70, forced four fumbles, and earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors.
Next up, the Buffaloes face the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday at Folsom Field, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. MT on ESPN. The stakes are high: Saturday’s winner will secure their sixth win and qualify for bowl eligibility.
Even more, the victory will keep their Big 12 title hopes alive as they chase current leaders BYU and Iowa State, both undefeated in conference play.
After struggling against Kansas State—what Shilo called “the worst game of his life”—he dedicated the week to watching films and discussing improvements with his father Deion Sanders.
The work paid off, as he delivered an outstanding performance in their following game against Arizona.
