"They literally broke Shilo Sanders' a**": CFB world has 'comical' reactions to now injured Deion Sanders' son's pregame brag

Shilo Sanders had plenty to say before the Colorado Buffaloes’ Week 2 matchup against Nebraska on September 7, but the taunts didn’t age well. Ahead of the coin toss, the Colorado safety was caught on camera telling Nebraska players:

“We about to roll your asses”

Unfortunately for him, things didn’t go as planned. Shilo left the game with an arm injury that could sideline him for two to three weeks. If that wasn’t enough, Coach Prime and Co. faced a 28-10 defeat at the hands of Matt Rhule and his men.

Fans wasted no time reacting on social media. One fan hilariously wrote:

“They literally broke his a**.”
“Shilo is all bark, no bite," another fan said.
“He talked the same shit to Oregon and got hurt, this game talked shit and got hurt again,” a fan said.

Here are some more reactions from fans.

"It’s an entirely family of clowns that’s rare," one fan said.
"Shilo is that kid during gym that wore the headband and tried too hard," another fan said.
"Always talking shit but can never back it up," one fan said.

Colorado HC and Shilo’s father, Deion Sanders, mentioned postgame that his son might have suffered a fracture. That turned out to be the case, as Shilo broke his arm and will miss future Colorado games.

Shilo Sanders explained his injury after Nebraska loss

Shilo’s arm injury during Colorado’s rough loss to Nebraska required surgery. Coach Prime’s son is known for his direct and no-nonsense style of play. He explained the moment when he realized something was wrong.

“After I made that tackle, I tried to lift my arm up," Shilo Sanders said (per On3). It feels like your hands going like this, like your arm goes up, but your hand has no control. It feels like it’s somebody else’s hand. It didn’t hurt that bad, it just felt like adrenaline.”

Before his exit, Shilo Sanders registered two tackles, including the hit that ultimately injured him. It was a tough game for the Sanders family, as his brother, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, also had to leave the field for medical attention late in the game.

Despite the loss, head coach Deion Sanders tried to stay optimistic. He said (per USA Today):

“I’m truly excited about the second half of football that we played.” [Colorado won that quarter 10-0]

The Buffs now prepare for a rivalry clash with the Colorado State Rams on Saturday, but they’ll have to make do without their defensive back.
