TikToker Dan Mitchell offers a wild theory for Arch Manning-Bill Belichick union with this failing NFL franchise
NFL YouTuber and TikToker Dan Mitchell often provides interesting takes on various NFL teams and how they should approach their futures. On Wednesday, he tweeted his opinion on what a failing NFL franchise needs to do in the next two years. He was referring to the New York Jets.
"If I'm the Jets. I'm hiring Bill Belichick. Releasing Aaron Rodgers, start Tyrod Taylor in 2025 (tank again). Then grab Arch Manning in the 2026 NFL Draft," Mitchell tweeted.
The New York Jets have struggled and have not made the playoffs since 2010. They could miss the playoffs again this season as they have a 3-8 record through their first 11 games.
Since Aaron Rodgers does not look like the savior the Jets were hoping he would be, Mitchell could be right in his assessment. Rodgers will turn 41 in a few weeks and is unlikely to improve. As a result, the Jets need to find a new quarterback and Mitchell believes Arch Manning is the best option.
Mitchell also believes the Jets should pair Manning with new coach Bill Belichick. Belichick is widely regarded as the best coach of all time, largely thanks to his success with the New England Patriots. He has been without a team since 2023 and expressed interest in returning to the NFL.
Returning with a talented team and a young star quarterback would be perfect for Belichick. It is nearly identical to what he had at the beginning of Tom Brady's career.
Is Dan Mitchell right about Arch Manning being one of the best quarterback prospects?
Dan Mitchell believes that the New York Jets should wait until 2026 to draft their quarterback of the future. He thinks Texas Longhorns backup quarterback Arch Manning is the best option.
Mitchell could be right because most experts agree that the 2025 NFL draft has a bad quarterback class. None of the top quarterbacks, including Texas starter Quinn Ewers, is projected to be a superstar.
However, with Ewers set to get drafted in this upcoming draft, Arch Manning should have the opportunity to start next season. He already showed flashes of greatness in a few starts while Ewers was injured earlier this year, so a full year as the starter could show that he is a great option.
