Top 10 overall rated teams in EA Sports College Football 25 ft. Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State BuckeyesÂ
The top 10 teams, based on overall ratings in EA Sports College Football 25 have been revealed. This ranking tells players which teams are the best in the entire game.
During the week, EA Sports had been releasing some top 10 lists in relation to the game, but this one is the list that every player wants.
So, who are the top 10 overall rated teams in EA Sports College Football 25?
The Top 10 overall rated teams in EA Sports College Football 25
#1 Georgia Bulldogs (95 overall)
The best team in the game, according to EA, is the Georgia Bulldogs. Over the last few seasons, the Bulldogs have been one of the best teams in college football, winning two national championships and only losing two games in that period.
Their numerous talented players on offense and defense make them a challenger for this year's national championship and the best team in College Football 25.
#2 Ohio State Buckeyes (93 overall)
The end of last season was not great for Ohio State Buckeyes. A change was needed, and the Buckeyes had a very good transfer portal, bringing in many talented players, such as Quinshon Judkins from the Ole Miss Rebels.
EA has recognized this increase in talent in what is an already strong team and has declared them the second-best in the game.
#3 Oregon Ducks (93 overall)
EA seems to like the Oregon Ducks and believes that they are strong enough to be the third-best team in the game.
The Ducks have picked up big-name players such as quarterback Dillion Gabriel for their first season in the Big Ten. These moves have definitely improved their roster, but can it compete against the likes of Ohio State?
#4 Alabama Crimson Tide (92 overall)
The Alabama Crimson Tide are somewhat of a mystery this year. They have a strong roster, even after losing some key players in the transfer portal. But no one is really sure at the moment how new head coach Kalen DeBoer will fare.
EA doesn't have any questions, and judging on roster talent alone, they are seen as the fourth-best team in the game. Time will tell if they are right with this.
#5 Texas Longhorns (90 overall)
After an impressive final season in the Big 12, the revival of the Texas Longhorns continues with the program joining the SEC this year. It has been widely predicted that the Longhorns will be able to make a challenge for the conference championship this year.
Quarterback Quinn Ewers returns with a strong set of offense weapons and a Texas defense that can cause problems for their opponents. Yet, EA thinks that they are the fifth-best team.
#6 Clemson Tigers (90 overall)
The Clemson Tigers had a 2023 season to forget. Many of their talented players were injured, and their absence was truly seen on the field.
However, the Tigers are favorites to return to their former dominant self and will hope to win back the ACC. Clemson lost barely anyone in the transfer portal and has only gained talent. EA ranks Dabo Swinney's team as the sixth best, but this could change depending on how these players develop.
#7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (90 overall)
Notre Dame are always in contention for the top 10 CFP rankings, partly due to their independent status. The program gained former Duke quarterback Riley Loftus in the transfer portal, and the defense should be strong, as it was last year.
EA ranks Notre Dame as the seventh-best team in the game, and this feels like the correct place for them.
#8 LSU Tigers (90 overall)
Tied with Texas, Clemson and Notre Dame is LSU. EA ranks their defense poorly, but it is their offense where the Tigers stand out.
This may be surprising for some, as Heisman Trophy-winning Jayden Daniels has moved on to the NFL. However, with emerging quarterback Garrett Nussmeier having many targets to find and a strong offense line, it may be no surprise that LSU is the eighth-best team in the game.
#9 Penn State Nittany Lions (88 overall)
The Penn State Nittany Lions have been the third-best team in the Big Ten for a while now. Ohio State and the Michigan Wolverines (who did not make the top 10) being the two powerhouses.
EA also thinks this and ranks them as the ninth-best team in college football and the third-best in the Big Ten, behind Ohio State and Oregon.
Nittany Lions have a very good defense, but their offense last year was sometimes lackluster. If Drew Allar can have a great season, Penn State could be able to make a surprise run for the conference.
#10 Utah Utes (88 overall)
The Utah Utes have been the suprise package in the PAC-12 recently and are likely to be a contender in the Big 12 as well.
EA sees the Utes as the tenth-best team in the game. Returning quarterback Cam Rising will have a good amount of receivers to find in a Utah team that has made big moves in the transfer portal.
