Travis Hunter deactivates Instagram hours after old twerk video of fiancee Leanna Lenee with another guy goes viral
Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter and fiancee Leanna Lenee are in the midst of controversy. College football fans started criticizing Hunter's fiancee about her behavior in recent events, like a fan meet-and-greet, as well as the Heisman ceremony.
Now, in the latest development, an alleged old clip of Leanna Lenne has gone viral on social media on Sunday, leading to more heated criticism about Hunter's romantic partner. The video showed a woman alleged to be Lenee dressed in a miniskirt and top, twerking with another man during a party.
The Akademiks TV X account had posted the video at around 5:30 PM ET on Sunday. Hours later, the posts began to emerge about Hunter deactivating his Instagram account. One of the earliest posts about Hunter came at around 9:30 PM.
Another alleged video of Leanna Lenee in a music video from three years ago raised many questions. This video came out on Saturday, December 21.
After the emergence of Leanna's alleged music video, Cowboys star Dez Bryant broke his silence on the matter and firmly criticized Hunter's romantic choice. In a now-deleted rant, Dez Bryant shared his take on Leanna Lenee.
"I've tried my best not to get into Travis' business... but i had to after seeing this... I'm here to tell you, brother... wake up and quit playing. She talked all that s**t about you.., saying she was going to address the situation once, but kept talking about it..
"She loves the attention way more than you... she thinks she's an equal to you.. I can tell you are a great dude...and I promise there's a woman out there who's going to make your life easy and respect you... From what I see.. she has nothing to offer but a f***ing headache..."
Hunter and Leanna Lenee have been dating each other since high school. Earlier this year during the offseason, the Colorado two-way star proposed to Leanna, and the couple got engaged. They were also planning to get married next year.
Travis Hunter defends his fiancee amid backlash
Despite the criticism over the past few weeks, Travis Hunter stood firm to defend Leanna from all the hate. On Monday during a Twitch stream, Hunter addressed the situation, stating that he knows his fiancee better than anyone else.
Travis Hunter also stated that Leanna Lenee has been affected by all the backlash and it is taking a toll on her mental health.
"I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl's been with me for five years," Hunter said. "Y'all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man."
Apart from the off-field drama, Travis Hunter also has to gear up for Colorado's upcoming Alamo Bowl Showdown against BYU. This will be the last time Hunter plays on a collegiate level before beginning his preparations for the 2025 NFL Draft.
