Travis Hunter makes big moves with latest EA Sports partnership after special mention in CFB 25 covers
Travis Hunter has already made significant moves on the field this season, showcasing several highlight reel plays. Off the field, Hunter, who is already one of the cover athletes for EA Sports College Football 25, is also joining its inaugural GEN/EA Sports class of young athletes.
Hunter is one of the athletes as part of this inaugural partnership between athletes and EA Sports. According to EA, it is a new engagement platform that uses EA Sports' brand to collaborate with emerging athletes to help next-generation fans meet the rising stars in different sports.
Hunter was announced alongside three other athletes: Alyssa Thompson (soccer), Endrick (soccer), and Bianca Bustamante (motorsports).
"I am honored to be in this first GEN / EA Sports class alongside other amasing athletes who are the next generation of sport," Hunter said via SI.
"To have the support of a global brand like EA Sports who genuinely wants to boost our voices and partner on the things that matter most to us is empowering and I can't wait for fans to see how we bring this program to life."
John Reseburg, the Vice President of EA Sports marketing, partnership, and communications, spoke about why EA chose these four athletes.
"Every year, we partner with hundreds of athletes across our EA Sports portfolio, and we have relationships with thousands more. Gen / EA Sports is the next level, and we're incredibly proud to partner with these amazing young athletes, carving their own paths and influencing the world of sport," Reseburg said.
"This first class - Travis, Bianca, Alyssa, and Endrick - are multi-dimensional, authentic, and dynamic personalities, and we're excited to co-create meaningful experiences together for the future."
Travis Hunter receives a Gen EA Sports package
Travis Hunter received a large package from EA to celebrate their new partnership. The package was large enough that it went up to his mid-torso and was equally as long. The box had Hunter's signature, the EA logo, and was blue all over.
In the box was a personalized black leather jacket for Hunter. It had his name, the Colorado Buffaloes logo, a personalized logo of Hunter intercepting a football, and several other patches. Also in the box were a personalized headset, two controllers, and Hunter's EA Sports player card.
