Travis Hunter's fiancée gives a shoutout to her neighbors for running an inventive Heisman campaign for Colorado star
Travis Hunter's fiancée Leanna Lenee is enjoying all the promotions that support her partner to win the Heisman Trophy this year. On Saturday, a few hours before Colorado's Week 12 clash against Utah, Lenee gave a shoutout to her neighbors on her Instagram story for running an inventive campaign for the Buffs' two-way star to win the coveted college football honor.
Lenne's IG story featured a placard on her neighbor's porch.
"I bet my kids X-Mason 12 to win the Heisman," it read, referring to Hunter's No. 12 Colorado jersey.
Hunter is enjoying a fabulous season with No. 18 Colorado (7-2, 5-1 Big 12). Many believe he is in the running to win the Heisman Trophy because of his versatility.
Hunter has tallied 856 yards and caught nine touchdowns on 69 receptions as a wideout. As a cornerback, he has racked up 20 tackles, 13 of which have been solo, recording seven passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
The Buffs also aim to reach the College Football Playoff this season, and Hunter is expected to play a critical role for the team in the coming weeks. If Colorado wins its three remaining regular season games, there is a good chance they make the playoffs.
Following an off in Week 11, Deion Sanders' Colorado will begin its final stretch for the playoff races by hosting Utah at Folsom Field on Saturday.
