Travis Hunter's versatility is one of the key factors that has put him at the forefront of the Heisman race. He has been instrumental for No. 23 Colorado (8-3, 6-2 Big 12), both as a wideout and cornerback.

As a receiver, Hunter has recorded 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns on 83 receptions. He has also been impressive on defense with 30 tackles (19 solo tackles), nine passes defended, three interceptions, and one forced fumble.

The Buffs fell out of the College Football Playoff race following a shock 37-21 defeat against Kansas on Saturday. However, Hunter's chances of winning the award are still intact.

Colorado will face Oklahoma State (3-8, 0-8 Big 12) in its final regular season matchup on Friday, and Hunter's performance in this game could solidify his position as a top Heisman Trophy contender.

If Hunter wins the Heisman Trophy, he is also likely to boost his draft stock significantly. The Colorado star is considered a top-10 pick for next year's NFL draft.
