Travis Hunter teases fans with "crazy" project announcement ahead of Colorado's game against Kansas State

Travis Hunter, the breakout star of Colorado’s 2024 football season, is teasing fans with a major off-field project just days before the Buffaloes grace Folsom Field to face the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats.

Hunter, who’s projected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has been unstoppable for Deion Sanders' program this year, but it's not just his on-field performance making headlines.

The Colorado wide receiver/cornerback took to Instagram to hint at a new collaboration with student artist Kyan Patel, known for his unique sports portraits.

"We got another project. Y'all get ready, it's coming soon. Crazy!" Hunter said in the clip, while Patel added, "Stay tuned."

With NIL deals piling up, Hunter continues to dominate both on and off the gridiron. He boasts a NIL portfolio worth $3.3 million (per On3).

As the Buffaloes prepare for their Big 12 clash against the Wildcats, Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders remain the team’s biggest draw. Colorado currently sits at 4-1, and a win in the upcoming game could push them into first place in the conference.

Travis Hunter NIL deal with NerdWallet is one of a kind

Coach Prime’s two-way star on the field continues to dominate the college football endorsement scene. He recently signed a deal with NerdWallet to his growing NIL portfolio, becoming the first college football player to sign with the personal finance brand.

NerdWallet’s "Smartest NIL Deal Ever" isn’t just another sponsorship—it challenges athletes to commit to smart financial decisions. Hunter chose to put 20% of his earnings into a savings account, promoting focus on planning for the future. He said:

“Preparation is the key to success both on and off the field. The opportunity to earn and be smarter with managing my NIL money was too good to pass up.”
