Updated 2025 NFL Mock Draft after Week 7 of college football ft. Shedeur Sanders

The 2024 college football season is well underway, with Week 7 now in the books. There have been plenty of storylines, including conference realignment altering the landscape of the sport, and the expansion of the playoff field from four to 12 teams after a decade under the previous format.

While the 2025 NFL draft won't take place until next April, several prospects have emerged as potential top-10 overall picks. Here's a look at 10 names that could go early in the first round and how they have performed in the first half of the 2024 college football season.

Updated 2025 NFL Mock Draft after Week 7 of college football

#1. Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders has garnered plenty of attention entering his senior season of college football. In six games, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback has thrown for 2,018 yards, 17 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 72.6% of his pass attempts.

#2. Cameron Ward

Cameron Ward has seen his stock rise, perhaps more than any other player, over the first half of the 2024 college football season. He has thrown for 2,219 yards, 20 touchdowns and just three interceptions. The Miami (FL) Hurricanes quarterback has completed 69.2% of his passes while adding 161 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries.

#3. Quinn Ewers

Quinn Ewers has battled injury during the 2024 college football season, appearing in just four games. The Texas Longhorns quarterback has thrown for 890 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 72.2% of his pass attempts.

#4. Travis Hunter

Travis Hunter has been great on both sides of the ball. The Colorado Buffaloes two-way star has caught 49 passes for 587 yards and six touchdowns. He has also recorded 17 total tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, two interceptions, a game-winning forced fumble and one pass defended. He will likely be the first non-quarterback off the board.

#5. Will Johnson

Will Johnson has also played strong in the first half of the 2024 college football season. The Michigan Wolverines cornerback has recorded 14 total tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns) and three passes defended. He will likely be the first defensive back drafted after Travis Hunter.

#6. James Pearce Jr.

For his standards, James Pearce Jr. has had a slow first half of the season. The Tennessee Volunteers edge rusher has recorded 19 total tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defended. He will look to pick up his production in the second half.

#7. Will Campbell

Will Campbell has played well in the first half of the season. The LSU Tigers offensive tackle is projected to be the first offensive lineman selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

#8. Malaki Starks

Malaki Starks has continued to play well for the Georgia Bulldogs. The safety has recorded 32 total tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and one interception in six games.

#9. Mason Graham

Mason Graham has continued his high level of play. The Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle has recorded 21 total tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and one pass defended.

#10. Ashton Jeanty

Ashton Jeanty has had an incredible season and has entered the Heisman Trophy picture. The Boise State Broncos running back has rushed for 1,248 yards and 17 touchdowns on 126 carries, adding nine receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. He is averaging a video-game-like 214.5 yards per game and three touchdowns per game.
