USC 5-star recruit Julian Lewis gets an official offer from Deion Sanders and Colorado, raising noise among Buffs fans
Julian Lewis shared on X that he received a scholarship offer from Deion Sanders, the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Julian, aka "JuJu" Lewis, thanked Sanders for the opportunity and is expected to make a decision soon. Colorado Buffaloes fans expressed their excitement and want the highly-rated quarterback to commit to their team because of his talent and football IQ. Additionally, many Buffs fans see him as the perfect successor to Shedeur Sanders, who will leave for the pros next year in the NFL draft.
CU fans react to Lewis' news:
"#WeWantJuJu to take the keys and DOMINATE!" a fan wrote.
"Trojan fans in shambles," another fan commented.
Julian Lewis also received an official offer from the USC Trojans
As a high school freshman, JuJu experienced one of the best seasons a quarterback could have. He led Carrollton to the 2022 state championship game and threw for over 4,000 yards and 48 touchdowns that season. Even though he lost in the state title game the previous year, he secured the win the following year and then reclassified himself to become one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting class.
When he reclassified, Julian Lewis committed to the USC Trojans. However, the touted field general visited other programs, such as Indiana, Colorado and Auburn.
Along with his Colorado overture, Lewis is still high on USC, news he shared with his fans on X through a hype video.
Julian Lewis has captivated his fans while keeping them in the dark regarding his ultimate landing spot. It remains to be seen which football program will steal him away. Will it be Riley's Trojans or Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
