Travis Hunter gets special treatment from Deion Sanders
The Colorado WR is getting the VIP treatment from Deion Sanders, and it's no surprise why. The Buffaloes started glaringly last season under Coach Prime. Leading the charge was Sanders' son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, but another standout player who drew everyone’s attention was Travis Hunter.
Hunter is a versatile phenom who can shine on both offense and defense. Under the tutelage of Coach Prime, he has taken full advantage of learning from one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time.
With the 2024 season approaching, likely Hunter's last year in Boulder, Sanders is keen on keeping his star player in peak condition. He’s made it clear that Hunter, along with key quarterbacks and receivers, is off-limits during practice to avoid unnecessary injuries.
“We in pads we having contact. Take care of your guys. Like I'm gonna tell you do not touch the receivers. Don't get near the quarterback and leave Travis alone. I'm not playing favorites. I'm just being 100," Sanders said.
Hunter won the Paul Hornung Award last year for his exploits in a lacklustre season for Colorado which ended 4-8 after being 3-0 up initially.
