On Father's Day, Deion Sanders Jr., eldest son of the iconic football coach Deion Sanders, thanked his family through a heartfelt Instagram story. Reflecting on his father and brothers' impact on his life, he thanked them for their unwavering support and guidance.
"Happy Father's Day, man. I know you're probably asleep right now, it's probably past your bedtime," Deion Jr. began, addressing his father with warmth. "I appreciate you, thank you for everything. You changed my life, man, put me in a better position."
"Yeah, but the whole family, me and my brothers, extended family, all my homeboys, everything. Appreciate you, man. Allow me to be up here and helping you write this story of greatness, man. Happy Father's Day," he added, highlighting the collective influence of his support system.
Adding to the celebratory mood, Shilo Sanders kicked off the day with a playful yet heartfelt gift for his father. Shilo surprised Coach Prime with two footballs bearing the “COWBOYS” logo, a tribute to Deion’s illustrious NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys.
Shilo shared a series of nostalgic photos from last year’s Buffaloes games. These images showcased their strong bond from Coach Prime adjusting Shilo’s neck chain mid-game to their exuberant post-touchdown celebrations.

Deion Sanders received heartwarming Father's Day messages from his children. He also spread love and appreciation to fathers worldwide through a video on Instagram.
"Happy Father’s Day to all my wonderful fathers," he said, "all the Blessed Fathers, Step Fathers & All the men trying to play their parts in fathering their children."
Deion highlighted the often-overlooked contributions of stepfathers, sharing,
“I had the best stepfather in the world, Willie J. I know they call you stepfather because you step in and affiliate in the gap. But thank you all. Sometimes you never get the respect you deserve or desire but I thank you all.”
Willie J. Knight stepped into Deion’s life at age eight after the passing of his biological father, Mims Sanders. Deion Sanders' coaching career spans eight years at the high school level and three years at the Jackson State Tigers. He led the Tigers to a 27-6 record, two conference championships and two SWAC Coach of the Year titles.
He also won the 2021 Eddie Robinson Award. In his first season coaching the Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders achieved a 4-8 record.
