WATCH: Former Ohio State HC Urban Meyer mocks Michigan ahead of Week 2 matchup against Texas

Urban Meyer doesn't forget his Ohio State affiliations, with the former coach turned "Big Noon Kickoff" analyst for Fox Sports appearing in Ann Arbor on Saturday with a Buckeyes T-shirt that said "Beat Michigan." Meyer and the rest of the "Big Noon Kickoff" crew are at Ann Arbor for the Week 2 clash between Michigan and Texas, which is the most anticipated game of this round of college football games.

Texas comes in as the favorite, with coach Steve Sarkisian's team ranked No. 3 in the nation. In Week 1, the Longhorns shut out Colorado State with a score of 52-0. Michigan is also highly ranked, being the No. 10 team in the nation. Meanwhile, the Wolverines defeated Fresno State 30-10 in their season opener.

Urban Meyer on Michigan's quarterback situation

Despite his humorous take on the encounter, Urban Meyer did have positive things to say about the Michigan Wolverines. He specifically spoke about the quarterback situation the Wolverines currently have. Coach Sherrone Moore has a dilemma between Davis Warren and Alex Orji.

Urban Meyer's advice to Moore was the following:

“I’d play them both, when I was the head coach of Florida, we had Chris Leak and Tim Tebow. And, I would have our coaches rank the players — top 15 in a row. If you’re in the top 11, you’re playing. Tim Tebow was always in the top 11, so he’s going to play.
“Alex Orji — how do you not play this cat? He’s 235 pounds. I think he’s as good a runner, athlete as they have. He’s got to play. So don’t tell me about the scheme. Tell me how you get this kid the ball. He’s got to carry the ball for the Wolverines.”

Meyer famously used both Chris Leak and Tim Tebow in the Florida Gators' national championship-winning 2006 season, with Leak taking most of the snaps and Tebow fulfilling the role of a wildcat quarterback.

Week 1 saw Davis Warren take the majority of snaps for Michigan, throwing for 118 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Orji came in only for seven snaps, with three passing yards. He also had 32 rushing yards.
