WATCH: Lane Kiffin's Rebels sweat it out with vigorous offseason preparations for 2024
Lane Kiffin's boys are pouring in their sweat in preparation for the 2024 college football season. In a video posted by Ole Miss on Instagram, several Rebels stars were seen working out in the gym and weight room together, helping each other out in the process.
Ole Miss narrowly missed out on the SEC championship game last season and wouldn't want a repeat of that this time. The program has been working the entire offseason in the recruitment and transfer portal to assemble a solid roster for the fall.
“Putting in the summer work,” the caption of the Instagram post read.
The stars seen in the video included quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receiver Tre Harris and defensive tackle DeSanto Rollins, among others.
The team has returned to work after enjoying the break after the spring game. Several players, including Dart, his deputy Walker Howard, tight end Hudson Wolfe and others, enjoyed the break together. They went fishing and showed off their big catches on social media.
Lane Kiffin would feel the Rebels have a good chance this season as the only team above them from last year, the Alabama Crimson Tide, is going through a massive transition.
Lane Kiffin missed Nick Saban at the SEC spring meeting
It is the first time since 2007 that there is no Nick Saban in college football. While his SEC rivals would be heaving a sigh of relief, they also miss his presence. Kiffin talked about not having Saban in the SEC spring meetings.
"It was definitely strange not having coach Saban in there. I think Kirby kind of took over and is the lead now,” Kiffin said via The Athletic.
Alabama and Ole Miss share the West division in the conference and were number one and two on the table last season. While Saban’s Crimson Tide made it to and won the SEC championship with an 11-1 regular season record, Kiffin's boys were close with 10-2.
Will the Rebels finally have their say in the division and the conference in the upcoming season?
