WATCH: Massive crowd gathers for $2.6M NIL-valued Travis Hunter’s EA College Football 25 meetup
Colorado Buffaloes cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter is one of the most exciting prospects in football heading into the 2024 season. The Collins Hill High School product is arguably the best player on coach Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders' squad.
Following the release of EA Sports' College Football 25, hundreds of Colorado fans lined up to attend Hunter's launch party and meetup on Saturday. The event was held at Town Center in Westminster, Colorado. Here's the video:
Hunter has an On3 NIL valuation of $2.9 million, and his collaboration with EA is only going to increase his popularity.
Travis Hunter is an EA College Football 25 cover star
Travis Hunter is one of three notable college stars gracing the cover of EA College Football 25. The Colorado Buffaloes two-way star shares the cover with Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers and Michigan Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards. The trio appears on the standard and deluxe editions of EA College Football 25.
Quinn Ewers spoke of his pride in gracing the cover of the much-awaited video game:
"They're going to remember all three of us because we were the first guys on the cover to bring it back. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on the game's cover."
What to expect from Travis Hunter in 2024?
Travis Hunter was a five-star recruit coming out of Collins Hill High School. Hunter had his pick of colleges aiming for his commitment, but he surprised all by choosing Jackson State. Coach Prime's presence and influence are often cited as a key reason for Hunter's decision to join the Tigers.
Hunter was solid at JSU but elected to follow Deion Sanders and quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the Colorado Buffaloes for the 2023 college football season. Hunter ended the season with a slew of accolades, including, but not limited to, the Paul Hornung Award, consensus first-team All-American honors, first-team honors by Sports Illustrated and second-team honors by FOX Sports.
Expect Hunter to ball out in 2024 and secure his spot as a top-five draft pick in the next draft. He'll likely get the chance to play both the cornerback and wide receiver positions for the Buffaloes, thus giving him a better chance at a higher draft pick in 2025.
