WATCH: New Pop-Tarts Bowl trophy which has a live toaster unveiled for blockbuster Iowa State vs Miami matchup
The Pop-Tarts Bowl just turned up the heat — literally. A brand-new trophy, featuring a “working” toaster, has been unveiled ahead of the highly anticipated Iowa State vs. Miami showdown.
The Miami Hurricanes accepted their invitation to the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl, set to take place on Dec. 28 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
The trophy, named the Charles H. Rohe trophy, isn’t just the typical hardware. Designed by GE Appliances, it features a sleek three-tiered platform topped with a football that doubles as a toaster, with slots perfectly sized for two Pop-Tarts. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Pop-Tarts Bowl wrote while sharing the video:
"Not your average trophy—this one toasts Pop-Tarts!"
The unveiling video on social media showcased the toaster in action, popping out freshly toasted Pop-Tarts. Bowl officials embraced the moment by enjoying the warm treats straight out of the wrapper.
“Pop-Tarts Bowl. GE Appliances = the NEW Pop-Tarts Bowl trophy with a built-in WORKING (!!!) toaster,” Pop-Tarts Bowl wrote in another post.
This creative twist comes after last year’s giant edible Pop-Tart, showing the Bowl's unmatched knack for marketing and fan engagement during college football season.
Additionally, the winning team will take home a giant edible Pop-Tart, while the MVP gets to choose their favorite flavor. With a game as fun as this, the Pop-Tarts Bowl continues to deliver delicious memories both on and off the field.
