Kristen Saban praises Pat McAfee for driving Nick Saban "crazy"
It’s no easy feat to rattle Alabama coaching legend Nick Saban, but Pat McAfee seems to have cracked the code. Nick's daughter took to Instagram to praise the former NFL player and Saban’s co-host on ESPN’s “College GameDay” for driving her dad "crazy."
The clip showed McAfee taking a sly dig at the iconic coach by using WWE superstar Cold Steve Austin’s "What!?" dialogue.
“I never thought there was another person on this planet that could drive Nick crazy like I do, but the crown is yours [Pat McAfee],” Kristen captioned her IG story.
Beyond the laughs, the "GameDay" crew has been thoroughly impressed with Saban’s work ethic. Host Rece Davis revealed that Saban is all-in, attending meetings and striving for perfection without flaunting his seven championship rings.
“He would certainly have the résumé to do so and the credentials to do so if he wanted to. But he hasn’t approached it that way,” Davis said.
McAfee may have the crown for driving Saban crazy, but his professionalism behind the scenes is undeniably captivating.
