WATCH: Oregon mascot fires up crowd with incredible 22 push-ups at halftime of Big Ten blockbuster

The No. 3 Oregon Ducks pulled off a big upset in Week 7, defeating the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes 32-31 in the closing minutes of the game. While the end of the second half kept football fans on the edge of their seats, the first half also ended dramatically, with the Ducks making a comeback in the last minute to take the lead by just one point.

In the second quarter, Ohio State held a 21-15 lead until the final minute. With just 1:17 left, Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw a stunning 48-yard touchdown pass to WR Tez Johnson, helping Oregon finish the first half with a score of 22-21.

To celebrate this touchdown and the halftime score of 22, something special took place on the sideline. Oregon's mascot, Puddles the Duck, energized the crowd by performing his age-old tradition of doing pushups. The crowd from the stands joined in, counting each push-up, and cheered loudly as he completed his 22nd.

Well, the 22 push-ups are nothing for Puddles the Duck, who did over 500 push-ups during the 2023 season when Oregon scored a record 81 points in its opener against Portland State. According to tradition, Puddles does one push-up for each point the team scores.

In that game, the Ducks scored 78 points from touchdowns and three from a field goal, totaling 81 points, which should equal 81 push-ups. However, when you break down the scoring, it actually adds up to 546 push-ups.

After this unbelievable stunt, the Oregon crew members came out to hug Puddles, who fell flat on the ground and lay there for a few minutes to catch his breath. It will always be a memorable moment for the Ducks' fans.

Oregon Ducks' upcoming schedule

The Oregon Ducks faced their strongest rival on Saturday and emerged victorious. Now, with a 6-0 record, their journey to the College Football Playoff looks promising. In their next six games, they are set to face two highly ranked teams: No. 23 Illinois and No. 24 Michigan. There is a chance the Oregon Ducks might end up with a perfect record this season.

However, next up, they will face Purdue on Friday, Oct. 18, as heavy favorites. How long can the Ducks continue with their winning streak?
