WATCH: Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel’s GF Zo Caswell enjoys alcoholic shots as “game day prep”

Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon Ducks are set to go toe-to-toe against the Idaho Vandals on Saturday. A top contender for the Heisman Trophy this year, the quarterback is ready to play to his full potential, and to support him in his journey, Gabriel's girlfriend, Zo Caswell, is preparing in her own way.

On Friday, she uploaded a couple of stories on Instagram where she and her family are enjoying alcoholic drinks ahead of the Oregon vs. Idaho game. One of the captions of the story read:

"gameday eve ft. mom & dad"

Another story's caption read:

"Game day prep"

Dillon and Zo recently went through a heartbreak where they had to put their puppy down because of surgery complications. The two tried to distract themselves from the pain and also talked about the tragedy with their fans on social media.

"Winston went into what we thought would be a simple surgery," Gabriel wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. "However during the surgery it was discovered that there was an irreparable issue with his stomach. We ended up putting him down peacefully early this morning."

Dillon Gabriel feels privileged to have played in three conferences

The Oregon quarterback will play his sixth year of college football with the Ducks and is looking forward to starting the season. Before playing in Eugene, he was with the Oklahoma Sooners for three years, and before that, he started his career as a quarterback at the University of Central Florida.

While talking about his experience as a player who has played in three different conferences, he said, as per Fox News Digital:

"It being the third conference I’ve played in, I think in that aspect it’s cool. I’ve played in so many different places, and I feel like it’s what football is all about. I’ve had the privilege to play in a bunch of different cool environments, and it’s been very exciting. The more, the merrier. It’s gonna be a lot of fun."

For Dillon Gabriel, the Ducks were the "perfect spot" to bring his talents and spend the last year of his eligibility.

"It was kind of where I needed to be at the right time. … I think college is very special, and I think it’s a pivotal time to be the player you want to be to prepare yourself for the biggest job interview of your life, which is the NFL," he said.

Dillon Gabriel threw for 3,000 yards in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
