WATCH: Travis Hunter hilariously claims LeBron James' eye-catching gift to Coach Prime after Colorado's dramatic Baylor Triumph
Travis Hunter playfully snagged a special gift intended for Coach Prime—LeBron James’ exclusive Nike sneakers—after Colorado’s thrilling 38-31 overtime win against Baylor.
In his post-game YouTube vlog, the two-way star gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the game, highlighting his game-winning fumble recovery that sealed the Buffaloes' victory.
However, the real surprise came when Hunter was spotted eyeing a unique package: a pair of LeBron's signature shoes sent by the NBA icon himself.
"Ohhh LeBron, LeBron's! Size 12, appreciate you.,” Hunter joked on camera. “GOAT, appreciate you. I know you sent these to Coach Prime, but you ain't never heard of me though... Hehe, I like to take shoes." [Timestamp - 36:00]
Prime Time quickly caught Hunter in the act. “What’s that?” Sanders asked. Hunter replied:
“These are the LeBron’s he sent you. Can I have them? You don’t need to see them, you ain’t gonna wear them. They too hard for your toes. Yup … He can’t say no when you really want it.”
Sanders couldn't argue and let Hunter walk away with the coveted sneakers, just moments before the after-game press conference. There, Sanders praised Hunter's crucial contribution to the team:
“Great, great, great win,” Coach Prime said. “Travis is here, he played a phenomenal role as usual.”
Hunter continues to impress in 2024: 37 receptions, 472 yards, 5 touchdowns, averaging 12.8 yards per catch.
Projected top NFL draft pick Travis Hunter’s fiancée Leanna Lenee makes bold statement
After an electrifying Big 12 debut, Coach Prime’s team clinched a 38-31 victory over Baylor, thanks to Travis Hunter’s game-saving tackle on Dominic Richardson in the final seconds of overtime.
When Hunter shared some highlights from the Baylor matchup on Instagram, his fiancée Leanna Lenee jokingly commented:
“Heisman him NOW.”
The Buffaloes’ versatile star is riding a wave of Heisman buzz that’s only getting louder. In Saturday’s game, despite Colorado’s offense stalling in the third quarter, Hunter delivered when it mattered most. He forced a fumble at the goal line, securing the win for his team.
But his impact didn’t stop there—he also racked up 130 receiving yards on seven catches and played a jaw-dropping 145 snaps (82 on offense and 63 on defense).
Hunter’s durability and all-around playmaking ability are sure to be key factors when NFL teams make their picks in 2025, no matter which position he ultimately plays.
