“Welcome to Saban Field”: Nick Saban's daughter Kristen expresses excitement ahead of Alabama’s Week 2 matchup

Nick Saban's daughter Kristen shows no signs of change from last season as she continues to hype up the Alabama Crimson Tide. Many would have thought that Kristen Saban wouldn't be at the same level of fandom after the legendary coach's retirement, but she has proved them wrong.

Whether or not Saban coaches the Crimson Tide, Kristen is a hardcore supporter of Alabama football. Saban reshared a post by @alabamaftbl on her Instagram story before Alabama's Week 2 game against the South Florida Bulls at the Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Kristen captioned her post:

The University of Alabama paid tribute to Nick Saban in July for his 17 years of service to the Crimson Tide. The board of trustees named the field inside Bryant-Denny Stadium after the former coach - Saban Field.

The 72-year-old coach brought unparalleled success to the Alabama football program and established it as a powerhouse.

The baton seems to have passed in quite some style from Nick Saban to new coach Kalen DeBoer as they demolished Western Kentucky 63-0 in their season opener. DeBoer’s squad looked sharp on both sides of the ball, and Alabama's defense was on point from the start, forcing two interceptions from ex-Auburn quarterback T.J. Finley.

Regarding offense, Jalen Milroe had an efficient outing, managing 7-for-9 for 200 yards and three touchdowns. The Alabama QB didn’t just impress through the air, he also added two rushing touchdowns, along with 79 yards on the ground.

This Saturday, Alabama will face South Florida, a rematch of last year’s low-scoring 17-3 victory that saw Milroe benched. But with DeBoer now in charge, Milroe’s job seems safe. Expect a more explosive offensive display this time around as Alabama looks to maintain its dominance in the post-Saban era.
