When is the Iron Bowl 2024? Date, time, location, predictions and more

The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Auburn Tigers in their annual Iron Bowl matchup this weekend. The two teams will compete in Week 14, on Nov. 30, at the Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Tide hopes to regroup from their loss in Week 13 against the Oklahoma Sooners and get their fifth consecutive win in the Iron Bowl.

Alabama (8-3, 4-3 Southeastern Conference) suffered a crushing 24-3 defeat to Oklahoma (6-5, 2-5) on Nov. 23. The Sooners had a slow start in the first quarter and fell behind 3-0. However, they dominated their opponents from the second quarter until the end of the game to get their fifth win of the season.

Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe ended the game by completing 11 of 26 passes for 164 yards and three interceptions. The loss for Alabama was a setback for the team as they lost their third game to an SEC team.

Auburn (5-6, 2-5) enters the Iron Bowl matchup with Alabama with momentum on their side. The Tigers won a close 43-40 overtime victory against the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies (8-3, 5-2) on Nov. 23.

Running back Jarquez Hunter played a significant role in Auburn's win by having 28 carries for 130 yards and three touchdowns. On a two-game winning streak, Auburn will try to finish the season strong with their first victory in the Iron Bowl contest since 2019.

What happened in the 2023 Iron Bowl game?

Auburn came close to defeating their Iron Bowl competitors last year. The two teams faced each other on Nov. 25, 2023, at the Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.

The Tigers had a four-point lead in the fourth quarter with 32 seconds left. Milroe led his team to victory with a 4th and goal 31-yard touchdown pass to former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond for the win.

Milroe ended last year's Iron Bowl with 16 of 24 completed passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne had 5 of 16 completed passes for 91 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

College Football Week 14: Iron Bowl prediction

The Tigers have stepped up in their last two games, scoring over 40 points. Auburn's win over Texas A&M could give the team confidence to defeat their Iron Bowl opponent.

Thorne is having a better year as his team's starting quarterback, with 175 completed passes for 2,412 yards and 20 touchdowns. Hunter has also contributed significantly to Auburn's offense this season with 174 carries for 1,145 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Tigers' offense could give the Crimson Tide issues on defense, giving them a better chance of winning this year.

Alabama will need to play better than they did in Week 13. Despite their issues this season, the Tide is still favored to win on Saturday.

DraftKings has the Crimson Tide as a -440 favorite to defeat Auburn. The talent on offense and defense for Alabama could be too much for their rivals to handle in the final game of the regular season.
