College GameDay matchup potential playoff implications
The No. 11 Bulldogs' season will be on the line following their 28-10 upset by Mississippi last weekend. Another loss will see them getting out of favor from College Football Playoff committee members.
More importantly, Tennessee is their last opportunity to record a win against a ranked opponent. Their last two games, which are against UMass and Georgia Tech, won't matter much if they lose this game.
On the other hand, the Vols are placed atop the SEC. Though they will be the better-ranked team on the field, given the game is played in Athens, oddsmakers have pegged the Bulldogs as 10.0-point favorites.
