"Who the f**k is Paul Finebaum": Will Compton hits back at SEC insider for his scathing remarks at Nebraska

Former Nebraska Cornhuskers linebacker Will Compton was riled up by SEC Network host Paul Finebaum. The CFB analyst’s tirade against Nebraska and head coach Matt Rhule didn’t sit well with the former NFL linebacker.

Finebaum maintained a critical tone in his take on the Cornhusker’s coach as he dismissed Rhule’s narrative that the Big Ten is the best conference, worthy of automatic College Football Playoff bids.

Referencing Rhule's rough stint in the NFL, the CFB analyst suggested that Nebraska doesn't belong at the table with powerhouses like Ohio State and Georgia. Compton, clearly irked, fired back in a fiery Twitter video.

“Who the f*** is Paul Finebaum?” Compton mocked, deliberately mispronouncing the SEC insider's name.

He didn't stop there, challenging Finebaum's authority and fitness.

"Brother, I bet you can’t get 135 off your chest for a rep," he added.

Compton defended his alma mater, arguing Nebraska was just "four plays away from being 9-3 last year" and touting the team's improvements and returning defense.

“We’re revamped, we’re reloaded,” he added.

Despite urging himself to "stay cool," Compton couldn't resist personal jabs, calling Finebaum a "Smeagol-bodied mother" before reining himself in.

What exactly did Paul Finebaum say?

Nebraska coach Matt Rhule asserted that the Big Ten Conference should secure four spots in the College Football Playoff (CFP). Speaking at the Big Ten media day, he said:

“I think four teams from this league should get in every year because this is the best league. This is the NFL of college football in my mind.”

ESPN's Paul Finebaum didn't take kindly to Rhule’s bold claims. On the show “Get Up,” Finebaum advised Rhule to "Stay in your lane."

“Job one, win enough games to get to some stupid bowl game. Don't worry about the big boys because you're not one of them,” Finebaum said.

He also didn't shy away from highlighting Rhule’s past failures, particularly in the NFL during his time as head coach of the Carolina Panthers.
