Who is Scott Frost? Potential target for UCF coaching job

Scott͏ Frost, a senior football analyst for the Los Angeles Rams, is being touted on social media as a potential head coach candidate for the UCF Knights. The discussions come in the backdrop of Gus Malzahn's resignation from the position.

Malzahn has been appointed as the offensive coordinator at Florida State. Under him, the Knights finished 13th in the Big 12 with a record of 4-8 this season.

Fans have brought up Scott Frost's name because of his memorable history with the Knights. He took over as the coach of UCF in 2016 after the Knights had a 0-12 season where they did not have a single win.

During his first season, Frost led the team to a record of 6-6 in the regular season. The next season marked one of the most remarkable turnarounds for the Knights. They remained undefeated in the regular season and topped it off with a win against Auburn in the Peach Bowl.

McKenzie Milton, the Knights' QB, played a significant part in UCF's performance that year. Milton threw 4037 yards and had 37 touchdowns in arguably the best season of his career. Scott Frost left UCF in 2018 to join Nebraska as their head coach.
