UTEP vs Louisiana Tech game preview
Ruston is one place where the Miners haven't earned a win in 20 years. The last two meetings have ended in favor of the Bulldogs, who carry the overall series lead of 10-2. Last season, the Bulldogs defeated UTEP 24-10.
The good thing for the Miners coming into this encounter is their come-from-behind victory against the Panthers, who had a 21-20 lead with 38 seconds remaining in the third quarter. A touchdown and a field goal in the fourth quarter ensured them their first win (30-21) of an otherwise dubious first season in the Scotty Walden era.
They'll face the No. 1 defensive team (316.3) of CUSA, which registered its only conference win of the season, a 48-21 victory over Middle Tennessee on Oct. 10. They'd like to move on from a heartbreaking 33-30 loss to NM State last week. Evan Bullock will be in charge since he has started the last three games where he has thrown for eight touchdowns to zero interceptions.
