Colorado looked like this game was going to be a laugher as they were able to take a 29-0 lead into halftime. However, Stanford was not going to just roll over and die as they scored 36 second-half points to force the game into overtime. Shedeur Sanders threw an interception in double-overtime and made the Stanford vs. Colorado game one of the biggest comebacks in college football history.
A big reason for the result is the fact the Buffaloes committed 17 penalties for 127 yards compared to the Cardinal had seven penalties for 74 yards during the game. Stanford vs. Colorado will be one of the biggest black marks on coach Deion Sanders' resume as the Stanford Cardinal won 46-43 in double overtime.

The Stanford Cardinal had an outstanding performance from quarterback Ashton Daniels as he really separated himself by going 27-of-45 for 396 yards and four touchdown passes while also running 13 times for 27 yards (2.1 yards per carry).
Wide receiver Elic Ayomanor did extremely well and made himself into a household name as he finished with 13 catches for 294 yards (22.6 yards per reception) with three touchdown receptions. That is now the program's most receiving yards in a single game ever.
Colorado Buffaloes Top Performers
The Colorado Buffaloes had a lot of solid performances throughout the game as junior quarterback Shedeur Sanders finished 33-of-47 for 400 yards with five passing touchdowns and a crucial interception while also running 13 times for 37 yards (2.8 yards per carry). His top two receiving options had massive games as well as Xavier Weaver and Travis Hunter played incredibly well.
Weaver had seven catches for 124 yards (17.7 yards per reception) with a pair of touchdowns through the air while also running one time for a 14-yard touchdown. This was a career-high in touchdowns for Weaver in a game as he had two touchdowns just one other time in his collegiate career.
