Sammy Brown is the fifth-ranked prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports. The five-star prospect is the highest-ranked linebacker. Brown has narrowed down the list of schools he is considering to five, stating:
"I've kind of narrowed it down to five: Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. That's kind of, that's the officials I have set right now. So that's kind of the five I've been focusing on."
While the Georgia Bulldogs are considered the favorites to land Brown, the Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma Sooners and Tennessee Volunteers remain in the mix. Despite five teams being involved as he approaches his final decision, the star linebacker is reportedly deciding between the Bulldogs and Tigers.

How has Sammy Brown performed in his high school career?
Sammy Brown has played two years of varsity football for the Jefferson Dragons. As a sophomore in 2021-2022, he appeared in seven games. Brown had 35 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and one defensive touchdown.
Offensively, he carried the ball 58 times for 753 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding one reception for 12 yards. Brown returned two kickoffs for 127 yards, returning one for a touchdown.
In 11 games as a junior, he had 59 tackles, one interception and two passes defended. Brown added 1,449 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 181 carries. He caught 12 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns. Brown even served as an emergency punter, recording one punt for 38 yards.
Where will Sammy Brown play college football?
Sammy Brown has official visits with each of his final five schools scheduled. The visits will begin on Friday, May 26th, and continue for each of the following five Fridays, concluding on June 23rd.
Speaking with Christian Goeckel of All Clemson, Brown revealed that he will look to make his decision the following week, stating:
"I think kind of the first week of July is what I'm shooting for just to get it over with and focus on senior year."
