Xavier Weaver 40 time: How fast is the Colorado Buffs WR?

Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver senior Xavier Weaver 40 time is something many have been wondering about. He'snot known to be a speed demon who's going to torch the opposing secondary with track-like running; instead, he's a solid route runner who finds himself open.

Xavier Weaver 40 time is unoffical and will happen during the NFL Draft Combine when he enters the draft pool after the college football season. However, the unofficial Xavier Weaver 40 time is listed at 4.48 seconds. That's nothing that's considered slow but is instead is closer to the middle of the pack in terms of wide receivers.

The Xavier Weaver 40 time is nothing too special compared to some of the former high school track stars at the position. However, his ability to understand the route tree and find different ways to get open is critical. That's what we have been used to now in his fifth season of college football.

Xavier Weaver 40 time: How good a wide receiver has he been in college football?

Xavier Weaver has shown the ability to dominate throughout college football in his fifth season.

However, this is the first year he has been in Colorado, as he spent the first four seasons with the South Florida Bulls. He did not have production in his first two seasons, but the 2021 season was a breakout season for Weaver, as he had 41 receptions for 715 yards with two touchdowns.

He continued to step up throughout the 2022 season with career-highs in receptions (53), receiving yards (718), touchdown receptions (six) and longest reception (63).

Weaver decided to transfer before his final season of eligibility for college football and joined the Colorado Buffaloes as a top wide receiver in their offense.

Entering the Week 7 game against the Stanford Caridnal, Weaver has recorded 43 receptions for 507 yards (11.8 yards per catch) with a pair of touchdown catches.

With the return of wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, it should continue to help Weaver's production, as the defense is focused on him more and leaving him with the second cornerback on the depth chart more often.

He has shown the ability to be a strong wide receiver despite not having a blazing 40 time. The Buffaloes team definitely loves his ability to be an all-around excellent wideout.
