"You've never seen a player like me": Travis Hunter boasts about his talent after becoming 2024 Heisman finalist

Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter was named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy on Monday. The recently-crowned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year has now boasted about his talent and ability ahead of the Heisman award ceremony on Saturday.

Hunter appeared on "The Pivot Podcast" on Tuesday and explained how he must always be prepared for the Buffaloes on offense and defense.

"What player you know can play receiver?" Hunter said. "And the game plan is about you on the offensive side of the ball. And then, you go to the defensive side of the ball and the game plan is still about you. You’ve never seen a player like me before."

Hunter finished the 2024 regular season with 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns on 92 catches as a wideout. As a cornerback, he recorded 31 tackles, 11 passes deflected, four interceptions and one forced fumble in 12 games. He helped the Buffs to a 9-3 record (7-2 Big 12).

Hunter is in the pool to win the Heisman, along with Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel. However, many believe that Hunter is the frontrunner to win the honor.
