“On fire today” “Classic”: CFB fans gush over $80M worth Nick Saban for calling out Steve Sarkisian and Kirby Smart for 'bullsh*tting'
The Southern Eastern Conference championship game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns is set to take place on Dec. 7, Saturday, at 4 p.m. ET.
Before the exciting matchup, Steve Sarkisian and Kirby Smart sat down with the ESPN "College GameDay" crew for a fun interview earlier on the actual gameday.
The former Alabama coach Nick Saban (worth $80 million, according to celebrity net worth.com) hilariously called them out for not giving a clear answer regarding their strategy for the SEC showdown.
The Georgia coach had earlier answered the question by saying:
"I don't think you overthink it. I think you should try to do a simple, better block tackle; it's what it comes down to. Everybody wants to make it about the scheme, but a lot of times it comes down to the players, not to scheme."
The Longhorns coach agreed with Smart and said:
"Hit the nail on the head. You know, we always use the analogy. We never want to get paralysis by analysis. If you overanalyze, then your players aren't performing the way they can play. So, taking the information, then you try to prepare them to go play."
Listening to his former coaches beat around the bush, Saban bluntly said:
"I think they're both bullsh*tting us."
The comment didn't only leave the analysts and the coaches in splits but also drew hilarious reactions from the fans:
"Saban stays undefeated in mind games! Is this just classic banter, or does he know exactly how to get under their skin? Either way, it’s pure entertainment for the rest of us, haha," one fan added.
"Saban, the greatest thing that has ever happened to Game day," another fan added.
"Classic," one more fan said.
"Saban on fire today," another fan stated.
"That was classic and what I like about Nick Saban the truth teller," a fan quipped.
"Love Saban! He’s great on these segments!" Another fan appreciated Saban thus.
Nick Saban offers insight on the flag-planting fallout in CFB
The former Alabama coach has taken several opportunities to point out all that is wrong in the college football world currently, including topics like NIL.
During one of the latest College GameDay segments, Saban addressed a controversy that took over the college football world after rivalry week.
Several teams were fined $100,000 for planting their flag on the opposition's home stadium, like Michigan did at Columbus. Reacting to the news, Saban said:
"To fine these schools $100,000 is like worrying about mouse manure when you're up to ears in elephant sh*t."
Clearly, Saban doesn't mince his words, whether talking about controversies or the attitude of coaches to difficult questions. Kirby Smart and Steve Sarkisian learnt that during College GameDay's latest episode.
The SEC showdown can be viewed on Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV and YouTube TV.
